We provide basic necessities, such as groceries, clothing, beds and bedding, and school supplies to children and underprivileged families who are struggling and in need of assistance. We provide our services throughout the tri-state area of New York, Connecticut, and New Jersey.
Miracle Hands, Inc. does not give families financial assistance; rather, we aid them by providing everyday needs they might otherwise have to do without. Miracle Hands staff meets with each family individually to evaluate their most urgent needs. Once we determine what is required and what we can do to help, we take the necessary steps to provide food, clothing, school supplies or anything we can to make life easier. Some families require more than others, and we do our best to help each one.
Miracle Hands, Inc. Helps Working Poor Families
These families are living on an average annual net income of $23,000 and pay $10,100 (or the equivalent of 44%) of their useable income for rent. Some of these households depend on unemployment benefits, pensions, Social Security Disability, etc. With such low incomes, these families have little if any savings to cushion them during this prolonged recession.
We receive many referrals from local social services agencies whose mission is to help low income families with housing, mental health, legal, and other issues. These other agencies often cannot supply their clients with basic needs, and so they call on Miracle Hands to give their clients that extra, most-needed assistance.
Our organization is comprised of individuals with an interest in volunteering to spread hope and comfort to those who are feeling overwhelmed by their situation.
Miracle Hands, Inc. is a non-profit volunteer organization with a registered 501(c)3,
